Wedding Celebrations
Thank you for considering Gidleigh Park as a possible venue for your forthcoming wedding celebrations and we hope that the following information is helpful to you.
Gidleigh Park is a privately owned country house hotel located in 107 acres of secluded gardens and woodland on the North Teign River, within Dartmoor National Park and is a perfect setting for your special day.
Choice of Dining Rooms
Up to 42 guests may be seated in our adjoining dining rooms, the Nattadon and Meldon. These rooms are south facing and from here you will be perfectly placed to take in the stunning views of our gardens. For smaller weddings of up to 16 guests we offer our more intimate function room the Teign, again south facing with French doors leading out onto the terrace and beautiful gardens. Afternoon receptions may be held between 12 noon and concluded by 5pm, Sunday through to Thursday.
Exclusive Use
Should you wish to hold an evening reception this may be arranged by taking exclusive use of the hotel.
Wedding Breakfast and Wines
We are proud to announce that Michael Caines, MBE has retained the highly coveted and prestigious two Michelin Star status for menus and service since 1999 at Gidleigh Park. We pride ourselves in providing the highest standard of service and for us to be able to offer wedding parties the opportunity to dine with us, we ask that you choose one set menu for all guests; the same starter, main and dessert course. Whilst we request that you choose the same menu for the whole party, if you or your guests have any special dietary requests we will be happy to create a menu especially to suit their requirements.
The menu selections will reflect seasonally available produce, and some dishes may be subject to slight changes at a later date. We will, however, endeavour to be as true to your original selection as is seasonally possible.
Our two Michelin star Wedding Breakfast is priced from £51 to £95 for a set 3-course menu or £115 per person for an 8-course gourmet Classic Tasting Menu. Each menu includes canapés to start, with coffee and petit fours to finish.
