Dartmeet is the most luxurious and the largest room in the house. The bedroom is a  staggering 20ft by 16ft and features a magnificent bathroom of almost equal size to the  bedroom at 12ft by 16ft. The bathroom boasts a sauna, steam room, huge bath, double  walk-in shower, heated bench, under floor heating, double sinks, striking blue Lapaz  marble, TV, and double French doors leading on to a private balcony that provides  stunning and uninterrupted views over the Dartmoor countryside to the front of the  house.

The Dartmeet bedroom also features double doors and balcony overlooking the valley  and boasts Devon oak panelling, king size bed, fire place, specially selected works of  art, locally crafted oak and walnut furniture, large, sumptuous sofa, and all modern  amenities, such as an LCD TV and CD player to ensure the utmost comfort for guests.

The rate for Dartmeet is £1,200.00 daily for double occupancy and includes a two  Michelin-starred dinner prepared by Executive Chef, Michael Caines MBE, morning tea  or coffee in the room, cooked or continental breakfast and VAT.

With views over the forest, the second spa suite, the large and luxurious Cranbrook,  has a spa bathroom featuring double baths, sauna, heated bench, large walk-in marble  shower and underfloor heating.  Cranbrook is priced at £580.00 daily for double  occupancy, including a two Michelin-starred dinner, morning tea or coffee in the room,  cooked or continental breakfast and VAT.

Super sized bathrooms feature highly at Gidleigh Park, with exceptional roll top baths,  cascading shower heads and marble and granite. All are kitted out with L’Occitane  toiletries.

A range of beauty treatments and massages may be pre-booked and enjoyed in the  privacy of guest rooms.

Set in 45 acres of magnificent, secluded gardens and woodland, Gidleigh Park reopened to guests in December 2006 and now boasts 24 luxurious bedrooms.

Working closely with proprietors Andrew and Christina Brownsword, interior designer  Carole Roberts was responsible for refurbishing all bedrooms, restaurants and public  areas. The design influences are reminiscent of the period in which the original property  was built,  during  The Arts and Crafts Movement in the late nineteenth and early  twentieth Century.

Gidleigh Park has a country-house feel achieved by the use of fine English fabrics and  antiques, with each public room and bedroom individually furnished, achieving a  harmonious blend between the classic and the cutting edge of modern amenities. Top  British designers featuring at Gidleigh Park include Pierre Frey, William Yeoward,  Zoffany and Nina Campbell.

Official photography of the Gidleigh spa suites will be available at the end of May 2007.
