Our restaurant is considered to be one of the finest in the country and since 1999 has been the proud holder of two Michelin stars.  With Executive Head Chef Michael Caines MBE at the helm, the restaurant is renowned for creating innovative European dishes and has received much critical acclaim from food lovers around the world.
 

Hotel of the Year

We are delighted to announce that Gidleigh Park was awarded Gold in the prestigious 'Hotel of the Year' category in the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2009.  We are also pleased to have achieved a Silver in the Green Tourism Awards which recognises our ongoing commitment towards achieving our environmental goals.

As one of the few family owned luxury Devon Hotels our reputation for service, and dining is world-renowned.  Over time Gidleigh Park Hotel has maintained its rightful position as one of the most intimate and charming Country House Hotels in the country.

The 24 individually designed and beautifully decorated hotel rooms are sumptuously furnished with all the modern conveniences you would expect from a luxury hotel whilst retaining much of their original and delicate charm.

Within the grounds you will find a tennis court, two croquet lawns, a bowling green not to mention the 18-hole championship level putting course which is open during the summer months and poses plenty of challenges for even the most experienced golfers among us. 
 

Dartmoor National Park

Gidleigh Park Hotel is set in its 107 acres of grounds and parkland in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, has a simply breathtaking location.  This idyllic environment offers numerous walks through the grounds and out on to the moors themselves.  In the vicinity there is an extensive range of activities including fishing, horse riding and shooting to mention but a few.  Then again, the draw of a good book, a comfortable armchair in the drawing room and the blazing fireplace can be equally tempting.
